The Piano Trio in F# minor was composed in 2012 and premiered shortly after its completion. The Intermezzo acts as a modulatory transition between the sober first movement (in F# minor) and the exhuberant Rondo (in F# Major). Although contrasting in their character, the movements contain recurring themes that give the Trio a homogenous compositional structure.
